About me

It is important that you fully trust and believe that your chosen celebrant can create and conduct your ceremony, be that a wedding, naming or funeral. So here is a little about me…
Fiona Heath - The Solent Celebrant

Fiona Heath

I was born in Gosport, my father was a Royal Marine and both parents originate from Scotland, I spent the first two years of my life in Singapore before settling down in Portsmouth.

I have lived and worked in the area all my life, with the exception of a year in Adelaide, South Australia. I initially worked in the publishing sector before moving into marketing.

After my son was born I began my career in the charity sector working for The Lord Mayor’s Office, The Royal National Lifeboat Institution and The Tall Ships Youth Trust. I spent 6 years in London working for The Childhood Eye Cancer Trust before the commuting got too much and my last charity role was for The Elizabeth Foundation for deaf babies and preschool children.

I loved working as a charity fundraiser.

Then COVID happened, followed by furlough, the death of my father and a significant birthday, all of which made me seek new horizons.  I knew I wanted to continue to help families and people at their most vulnerable – I wanted to celebrate their achievements and be there for them at the most momentous occasions in their lives.

And so I became a civil celebrant – without doubt the most rewarding and satisfying role I have ever held, it is an honour and privilege.

I also like challenging myself – white water rafting, scuba diving, parachuting, fire walking, abseiling the Spinnaker Tower – anything that doesn’t require months of training!

I also truly believe that we all have our part to play in helping to save the planet so I try to be as environmentally friendly as possible.

I look forward to meeting you!

"Thank you for writing the beautiful eulogy it’s perfect - and I’m a writer xx"
